Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session to prepare your lymphatic system.
Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 72 hours before your appointment.
Limit caffeine & sugar: Avoid consumption 24-48 hours before your session.
Avoid heavy meals: starting at least 2 hours prior to your session.
Skip skin lotions: this allows for better skin contact!
Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment to ensure a relaxed and pleasant experience.
Hydration is key! Drink 3–4 litres of water daily for 24–72 hours after your treatment to help your body flush out toxins effectively.
Electrolytes are your friend: Incorporate electrolytes into your hydration routine to reduce inflammation, maintain proper hydration, and assist in detoxifying the lymphatic system. This can also prevent headaches caused by dehydration.
Avoid alcohol: Continue to avoid alcohol for at least 72 hours after your session, as it can counteract the detoxification process.
Limit caffeine: Minimize caffeine intake to support your body’s recovery and hydration.
Avoid heavy meals: Avoid eating heavy meals for 1-2 hours after your appointment.
Avoid strenuous workouts or intensive exercise post-session to best support detoxification.
Tenderness: Mild tenderness in areas with trigger points may occur and is a normal part of the process.
While rare, some individuals may experience temporary symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, or flu-like effects as the body eliminates metabolic waste. These typically resolve within 24–72 hours.
Be sure to get plenty of rest post-treatment to give your body the time it needs to recover and enhance the treatment’s effectiveness by prioritizing rest.
For general wellness or maintenance: We recommend coming every 4-5 weeks to support the lymphatic system, boost immunity, and reduce minor swelling.
For detoxification: Weekly sessions for 3-4 weeks may help kick-start your body’s natural cleansing processes.
For chronic swelling (e.g., lymphedema): Your doctor or therapist may recommend 2-3 sessions per week until symptoms improve.
Post-surgery or post-injury: Depending on recovery, 1-2 sessions per week may be suggested to reduce swelling and improve healing.
Stress relief or relaxation: Sessions can be done as often as you feel the need for calming effects.
